Queer Folk. We've been around since the dawn of time. While visibility has not always been there, queer people have remained strong and proud and have turned into a viable community. One way queer people have been able to like remain alive or seen the prosperity of queer folk is through queer artists. However, just as art is separate from a person, these queer artists are separate from their art. Meaning that a lot of their recognition in the art community has come from the notoriety and beauty of their work. The fact that they are queer or other has been a second for a long time, until now when they can be both proud artist and proud queer people.
